A lot of changes in this update.  First off, I am trying a new format without the spreadsheet.  I have never been happy with how it fits on the page and am giving this new version a go.  Feedback, as to which you prefer would be greatly appreciated!  The links for all of the items leads directly to their board game geek page.

As for the rankings, we have a few new entries and some games making their exit.  This is partly due to my opinion lowering towards some games as I have played them more and partly to do with my playing some new games worthy of being added to the list.

The new arrivals are:

Fealty coming in at 8.0, and as the only game I purchased at this year’s Gen Con.

Nautilus Industries, from Lamplight Games, also joins the list at 8.0.  Their Kickstarter is still going on right now, so check them out!

Amun-Re, the classic from Reiner Knizia, joins the list at a solid 8.0 after I played it in the IGS.  I was crushed horribly in the games and look forward to getting in some more plays!

The Manhattan Project, is officially added to the list at 7.75.  It is a unique take on the worker placement mechanic and very rich thematically.

The departures are:

Citadels, took a big fall and slid off the list.  I still really like the game, but I feel I had somewhat overrated it ate an 8.0.  I have readjusted my rating to a 7.0 which just barely removes it from my top 50.

Divide and Conquer, from my friend Hans Scharler, slips out of the Top 50.  Great game, and its rating did not change, but the higher rated new additions gave it the bump.

Backgammon suffered a fate similar to Divide and Conquer.  My opinion of it has not dropped, but it was simply nudged out by the arrival as higher rated games.

Masters of the Gridiron also left the Top 50.  I still enjoy it, but I think having only the few teams that I do, its long-term replayability is hampered somewhat.  This was enough for me to lower my rating of it to a 7.0 and see it leave the Top 50.
